Walk a Mile in someone else’s shoes: 3 September 2015

11th August 2015

See Me Scotland and mental health campaigner Chris Young invite you to be part of what has been described as Scotland’s biggest ever anti-stigma conversation.

Walk_a_Mile_logoThe ‘Walk a Mile in My Shoes’ event aims to bring together hundreds of mental health professionals, carers and people with lived experience for a friendly conversation as they stroll down Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in pairs.

The event is inspired by Chris Young who has been walking around the edge of the UK speaking to people about his mental health and trying to tackle stigma “one conversation at a time”. Chris said:

“At Walk a Mile there will be no uniforms, no barriers, everyone is on a level playing field; it’s about breaking down stigma and rediscovering how fabulous people are.”
