Using our Experiences to Influence Change: workshops

7th February 2019

Fife Voluntary Action in partnership with SRN are running two workshops to support people to develop their story and explore different ways of sharing to influence change.

As part of Delivering Differently, an 18 month strategic review of mental health and employability services, there is a commitment to involving people with lived experience of mental ill health and employability services in the development of future and current services across Fife. To be able to provide services that people need and want, we need to listen and work with people using them.

Often services use numbers, feedback and case studies from people using services in evaluations and reports. Delivering Differently has found that people with lived experience would prefer to have a variety of different ways and opportunities to share their own experiences and would like to learn different ways to do this.

Delivering Differently is running two group workshops and participants will be expected to attend both:

  1. Whose story is it? Developing my story – Friday 1 March 2019
  2. Developing practical hints and tips. 0 Friday 8 March 2019 from 10am until 12.30pm

Both workshops are free and will run from 10am until 12.30pm and include a tea/coffee break. The workshops will take place at New Volunteer House, 16 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT.
