Together we Flourish: Recovery Walk 2018

21st February 2018

SRN is delighted to announce that we will be supporting Recovery Walk 2018 to take place in Glasgow this September.

The Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC) founded the Scottish event in 2013 after the experience of co-hosting the UK recovery walk in Glasgow in 2010. Recovery walk Scotland is now organised and led by a council of Recovery activists from all over the country and the host city.

For the first time in Scotland, the addiction movement and the mental health movement will hold a joint recovery walk. SRN and See Me Scotland have joined the Recovery Walk Council who plan the event.

Frank Reilly, Director at SRN commented:

The Scottish Recovery Network are proud to support this year’s Recovery Walk. We are committed to placing lived experience at the centre of what we do and will continue to work tirelessly to break down barriers and stigma across our communities. The Recovery Walk in Glasgow is a fantastic reminder to all Scots that recovery happens and through our partnership we can make recovery real.

Recovery Walk Scotland 2018 will take place on Saturday 15th September 2018. Watch this space for more information on how to get involved! Or follow the conversation on Twitter
