Shaping the work of your Human Rights Commission
14th October 2015
The Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) wants your views to help develop their next Strategic Plan.
They are keen to hear from people and organisations across Scotland about how they can improve their work and to inform their priorities for the period of 2016 -2020.
Their consultation document describes the SHRC, its powers and duties and some of the main work they have done since 2008. It then sets out three questions to help guide the Strategic Plan and the Commission are inviting stakeholders to share their views on these points.
- The Commission’s role and powers;
- What we have achieved so far, including progress on Scotland’s National Action Plan on Human Rights;
- What the focus of the Commission’s future work should be.
Consultation responses should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to the Scottish Human Rights Commission, 4 Melville Street, Edinburgh, EH3 7NS. Let the Commission know if you need a different way to respond.The closing date for comments is the 20th November 2015.
