Scottish Government seeks views for Carers Legislation

13th February 2014

The Scottish Government is looking for feedback to their recently published ‘Carers Legislation – Consultation on Proposals’ which sets out the proposals to improve outcomes for carers in Scotland.

They are keen to hear feedback from carers, young carers, local authorities, health boards and the Third Sector on the suggested legislative measures that aim to provide further support to carers and the people they care for.

“We need the collective insights, knowledge and wisdom to ensure that our proposals for legislation are the best they can be.” – Michael Matheson MSP, Minister for Public Health
