REACH seek partners to run SQA pilot

18th February 2016

REACH Advocacy Scotland are looking for partners interested in supporting a pilot roll out of their new SQA (at SCQF Level 7) approved award.

The Reach Award has been developed in collaboration with people in recovery from addiction and mental ill-health. It is a package of training and education to support people working towards positive change. REACH Advocacy Scotland commented:

We recognised the importance and value of having an independent agency to help navigate many of the issues arising in and throughout the recovery journey. The Reach Award enables candidates to continue their own recovery whilst enabling them to assist others in theirs.

The award covers the exploration of advocacy theory and practical applications in real life settings. Candidates for the award are supported in their individual learning by REACH Advocacy Scotland’s team of trained advocates who have developed the Reach programme and the award. Between them, they have many years of personal experience in recovery settings.
