Meaningful opportunities that support people to grow as peer supporters are important. Peer2Peer is a package of training and free resources that support people with lived experience of mental health challenges to develop their skills, knowledge and experience in peer support.
The aim of the Peer2Peer development programme is to work with organisations to increase the use of Peer2Peer across Scotland. We want to create a learning network of people passionate about the power of peer support!
What is involved?
The programme will involve a mixture of group learning opportunities and 1:1 tailored support that will help your organisation to:
- Explore innovative ways to deliver Peer2Peer
- Gain the skills and confidence to deliver Peer2Peer
- Connect and learn from a wider group of people interested in peer support
We want to work with organisations who have the capacity to deliver Peer2Peer. The development programme will take place over a negotiated number of months. Organisations need to be able to commit to the whole process. As part of the programme, we will evaluate the process. Scottish Recovery Network are excited to learn from working together and share insights and learning with others across Scotland.
We invite you to join us for an online information session on Tuesday 22 June 2021 to explore this opportunity in more detail. The session will run from 1.30pm until 3pm.
For more information or to book your place email email@example.com with your name, contact details and your group, organisation or service (booking closes on Thursday 17 June 2021).

This wasn’t just training, it was immersive. We laughed, cried, and learned together as seventeen ‘experts by experience’, and it confirmed that because of, not in spite of our mental health problems, we are capable of so much.Emily, Peer2Peer course participant.
