Mind to Move Workshops Tour October 2019

2nd October 2019

‘Mind to Move’ workshops are for anyone aged from 18-65+ with experience of mental health issues. No dance experience is necessary.

The workshop involves discussion, relaxation exercises, and led movement improvisation; with a focus in exploring and enjoying the benefits of movement and creative expression. Participants are encouraged to take part in whatever way they feel comfortable.

The workshops have been developed by Julia James-Griffiths, an emerging dance artist based in Scotland. They are part of ‘The Box Project’, a dance theatre piece that explores the impact depression can have on an individual, and how our society responds to it.

Each workshop will end with a short excerpt of ‘The Box’ and an opportunity for participants to give feedback.

These workshops are FREE, and anyone who attends a workshop will be eligible to receive a discounted ticket to see the performance of The Box the following day.
