Report: What makes engagement meaningful?
We are working on a project to explore what makes engagement meaningful for people in Scotland with lived experience of mental health challenges.
Towards the end of last year we hosted three online national discussion events. The events focused on gathering views and experiences on what makes engagement truly meaningful. Feedback and insights from the events are now available in an interim report (see below).
Feedback from the events
The What makes engagement meaningful? discussion events brought together over 100 people including:
- People with lived experience of mental health problems
- Lived experience led organisations and groups
- Those working in mental health services in the third and statutory sectors
- People in decision-making roles
They provided a valuable opportunity for people to share experiences and learning. We have created an interim report to share what you told us. The report also includes some practical tips for designing and delivering meaningful engagement opportunities.
