Have your say on new Self-Harm Strategy

In 2023 we are facilitating a number of recovery conversation cafés. The aim is to capture the views of people with lived experience of self-harm and the people who support them.

Your ideas and insights will feed into the Scottish Government’s new Self Harm Strategy. They will also inform a new peer support initiative for people who self-harm. Penumbra is delivering the initiative and there are three initial pilot areas: Dundee, Glasgow and Highland. There will also be support available to anyone across Scotland via an online portal.

Get involved

The recovery conversation cafés will run between January and March 2023 and be a chance to have your say in a friendly and informal space. There will be both in-person and online opportunities to get involved. We are keen to hear from people with lived experience of self harm, their family, friends and supporters as well as frontline practitioners.
