DECLARATION announces 2017 line-up
31st January 2017
The programme for this year’s festival of human rights, health, arts and ideas, has been announced.
DECLARATION – now in its second year – is run by a range of organisations who have joined forces as part of Scotland’s National Action Plan on Human Rights (SNAP). The programme is based around the SNAP themes of Better Culture, Better Lives and Better World. The festival is continuing to explore the First Minister’s vow to ‘do even more, even better on incorporating human rights in Scotland’, and is part of an on-going commitment to the right to health and social care in Scotland.
SRN is delighted to support and be part of this year’s event and will be running the following session:
Write to Recovery workshop
To own your story is to own your life. Creating and taking control of your story can let you see just how many challenges and obstacles you have overcome along the way. It provides the opportunity to identify your strengths and ultimately work towards living the life you want. This taster session gives a practical insight into the Scottish Recovery Network’s popular Write to Recovery project. Participants will explore some of the thinking behind the project and have the opportunity to experience some of the story-sharing approaches used in groups across the country.
The DECLARATION festival takes place at Summerhall in Edinburgh from Thursday 2nd until Friday 3rd March 2017.
