Build back better
What does a recovery mind-set have to offer as we navigate Covid-19? How can we plan for a better future for Scotland’s mental health?
These resources were developed from conversations at our online cafes. They highlight that lived experience, peer support and communities need to be at the heart of developing mental health support.
Lived experience and peer support needs to move into the mainstream of our mental health and wellbeing support systems. This will help people in communities across Scotland to access the support they need, when they need it and where they need it.
The Build back better report and animation tap into the knowledge, skills and lived experience of people across the country. Particularly of those living with mental health challenges. It is important that these voices influence thinking around how we support good mental health. Now and as we ‘build back better’.
It’s time for change
We hope these resources to encourage conversations and action around mental health and recovery. Also in this series are the Staying connected resources
We will continue to collaborate with people from across the country and share learning. Scottish Recovery Network will make sure lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery are at the heart of a better future for mental health in Scotland.
