Peer support network birthday event!

Fife Mental Health Peer Support Network is holding an online learning and sharing event to celebrate it’s first birthday!

Fife – Voluntary Action, Health and Social Care Partnership, Employment and Access Trust (FEAT), Scottish Recovery Network and others gained ALLIANCE Scotland project funding. This resulted in the establishment of the network and the development of a framework for peer support in the area.

The forth-coming event is for anyone interested in growing peer support approaches in the region. Through workshops and guest speakers there will be an opportunity to explore:

  • Delivering and developing formal peer volunteering
  • Paid peer roles
  • Informal peer groups
  • Peer support with young people

We want to wish Fife Mental Health Peer Support Network a very happy first birthday! The network has gone from strength to strength over the past year and we are proud to support it’s development. It is a great example of why we should invest in peer support.

A huge shout out to all the people involved in making the first year so successful! We look forward to being part of the celebratory event. The future is peer!

Louise Christie, Acting Director, Scottish Recovery Network

Using Zoom the event takes place on the afternoon of the 17 June (1pm-4pm). Visit Fife Voluntary Action’s website for more information on how to book.
