We are pleased to announce the release of the film made at the launch event of the eagerly awaited findings report from the Narrative Research Project entitled, 'Recovering Mental Health in Scotland'.

The film features former Celtic Captain Neil Lennon, who opened the event and shared his personal experience of depression and how he coped with it.

The film highlights the day's events and the main themes from the research.

This was the first of a series of dissemination events across Scotland, and over 150 people joined the Scottish Recovery Network and special guest Neil Lennon to launch the report.

Narrative Findings Released

Read the complete findings report, which highlights several common elements which were found to be helpful for recovery. These included developing a positive view of yourself and having hope for the future, having meaningful activities and purpose in your life, having your contributions and choices in life validated and valued, having supportive relationships and having the right mix of treatments and support. One of the things that is clear is that this is no different from what most people want in life.
