Making Recovery Real Roadshow - Thurso Print

There are still places available for the first of SRN's three Making Recovery Real Roadshow events, which takes place on 01 December 2009 at the Pentland Hotel in Thurso.

The aim of these events is to:
  • Raise awareness of recovery from mental health problems.
  • Encourage local action that supports recovery.
  • Gather new insights about mental health and recovery.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in mental health, recovery and wellbeing.

Future events will also be held in Oban (24 February 2010) and Stranraer (24 March 2010).

Evaluating Recovery in Practice Training

Last year we commissioned Health in Mind and Penumbra to deliver a new training course, aimed at people who worked in the voluntary sector, called Recovery in Practice. Given the nature of this new course we were keen to learn more about how well it had worked so we commissioned an independent evaluation of the training, led by Jacki Gordon + Associates and we are now delighted to publish the findings.
