The purpose of creating these implementation guidelines is to support the considered development of peer worker roles. They draw on Scottish and international experience of developing peer worker roles. This article draws on the findings from the evaluation of the Peer Support Worker Pilot Scheme to highlight the development of peer support roles and programmes in Scotland.
