We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the stage 2 Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator training.

Participants who successfully completed one of the two-day stage 1 WRAP courses or anyone who has undertaken WRAP training out with these courses are now able to submit an application for the facilitator training.

The facilitator level training involves a five day training course. Completing this facilitator course qualifies participants to go on and support others to develop their own WRAP, by delivering stage 1 training (two-day WRAP courses) to appropriate individuals, groups and organisations throughout local communities in Scotland. This second level training will be led by the Copeland Center, who monitor and support the use of WRAP internationally. The facilitator level training is scheduled to take place in Edinburgh from Mon 9th June - Fri 13th June 2008.

Thanks to support from the Scottish Government, stage 2 training (facilitator level training) will be offered free of charge - including accommodation, if required. We will also reimburse reasonable travel expenses to people who are unwaged.

Please note there will only be 18 places available on the facilitator’s course, so we are not going to be able to award a place to everyone who has completed the stage 1 training or other WRAP courses.

For further information download the Application Form and Background information.

The pack provides information about the selection criteria and gives a greater sense of the level of support facilitators can expect from the Scottish Recovery Network, Scottish Government, and other key partners in disseminating WRAP training. It also details the level of commitment expected from facilitators themselves.

Deadline for applications is May 16th 2008.

We apologise for the tight timescales for the application process. If you have any questions, please contact Paul Robb via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phoning 07880 623 973.
