Wednesday, 06 August 2008
The Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA) recently launched a Principles and Standards publication as well as a Code of Practice for independent advocacy. The latter gives examples of how the Principles and Standards may work in practice.

They have also published the advocacy book, A Voice Through Choice to sit alongside a DVD, Independent Advocacy - A Voice to Trust. The book is a collection of stories from people who have used advocacy and are involved in the advocacy movement talking about the impact advocacy has had on their lives. The DVD gives a brief overview of how advocacy can change lives.

If you would like copies of any of the documents listed above please contact SIAA on 0131 260 5380 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
