“Inspirational Journeys of Hope” is a colourful booklet by Recovery Renfrewshire that shares the stories and poetry of people in recovery in Renfrewshire. The aim of the booklet is to inspire others and show that recovery from mental health problems can and does happen. By sharing people’s life experience the contributors and editors want to inspire hope in others that recovery is possible and to challenge preconceived attitudes and beliefs about mental health problems and recovery. Recovery Renfrewshire is a mental health service user led forum based in Renfrewshire. They are closely linked to and strongly supported by ACUMEN. Recovery Renfrewshire offers a platform and safe environment for those who have difficulties with mental health problems, their family, friends and carers and interested, relevant health professionals to get together, support each other and to promote mental health awareness and recovery in Renfrewshire. | Evaluating Recovery in Practice Training |
16 Jul Last year we commissioned Health in Mind and Penumbra to deliver a new training course, aimed at people who worked in the voluntary sector, called Recovery in Practice. Given the nature of this new course we were keen to learn more about how well it had worked so we commissioned an independent evaluation of the training, led by Jacki Gordon + Associates and we are now delighted to publish the findings. |
