UPDATE 17/12/2008 - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. If you wish to be added to the waiting list for this conference, please still submit a booking form.

SRN are pleased to announce that we will host our fifth national conference entitled Making Recovery Real on 26th February 2009 at the Perth Concert Hall.

This free event will focus on learning about recovery from mental health problems, consider initiatives related to promoting recovery and encourage debate about the concept of recovery.

We are delighted that Mary O’Hagan has agreed to join us on the day as our Keynote speaker. Mary has written and spoken extensively on user and survivor perspectives in many countries, and is an international leader in the development of the recovery approach. For more information about Mary and her work visit www.maryohagan.com.

Making Recovery Real will be based on a learning approach offering delegates a range of parallel sessions designed to highlight recent innovations and debates related to recovery and mental health in Scotland. There will be 12 parallel sessions during the day focused around different themes. Each session will last for one and a half hours and will include input from a number of contributors on a theme. We plan to record and share the learning from these sessions and the event as a whole through our website.

For more information about the event, please download the 'Making Recovery Real' Booking Form (PDF). The booking form can be completed electronically and submitted via e-mail, fax or post.
