On Monday 11 August 2008 there will be an 'Introduction to WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Planning', from 9.30am to 3.30pm in the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes, Fife. It's an opportunity for people to hear about WRAP, a system for monitoring, reducing and eliminating uncomfortable or dangerous physical and emotional difficulties. Chrys Muirhead and Eric Nicol successfully completed the WRAP facilitator training organised by SRN recently and will co-facilitate this session. Eric is employed by Turning Point Scotland as the Recovery Impact Worker nationally and is an experienced trainer. Chrys is an independent trainer and consultant, lectures at an FE college and directs Peer Support Fife. For more information please download the flyer (PDF) and booking form (PDF) for the event. SRN advertise a range of events and resources developed by external organisations. In doing so we do not necessarily endorse or recommend them and we are in no way responsible for content or quality. |

| Evaluating Recovery in Practice Training |
16 Jul Last year we commissioned Health in Mind and Penumbra to deliver a new training course, aimed at people who worked in the voluntary sector, called Recovery in Practice. Given the nature of this new course we were keen to learn more about how well it had worked so we commissioned an independent evaluation of the training, led by Jacki Gordon + Associates and we are now delighted to publish the findings. |
