The deadline for feedback on the Scottish Government’s self-directed support (SDS) strategy has been extended to 21st May. Proposals for new legislation are also out for consultation.

The final SRN roadshow in the ‘The Making Recovery Real’ series took place on in Stranraer on March 24th 2010. 84 people from across Dumfries and Galloway, as well as Ayrshire and Arran joined SRN on the day and, similar to the previous events in Oban and Thurso, the day focused on raising awareness of recovery but also featured lots of participation and discussion.

SRN welcomes new Network Officer PDF Print E-mail

We are pleased to welcome Lesley Smith to the SRN team. Lesley recently took up the post of Network Officer and will be working alongside John Moody (Network Officer) to promote and support the development of Peer Support, WRAP and local recovery networks, as well as looking at issues relating to equalities, diversity and employment.

Evaluating Recovery in Practice Training

Last year we commissioned Health in Mind and Penumbra to deliver a new training course, aimed at people who worked in the voluntary sector, called Recovery in Practice. Given the nature of this new course we were keen to learn more about how well it had worked so we commissioned an independent evaluation of the training, led by Jacki Gordon + Associates and we are now delighted to publish the findings.
