Depression Alliance Scotland has launched an appeal to enable them to continue to run their self-help groups in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh and are also looking for volunteers for to take part in group discussions for their potential new name.

The groups meet fortnightly and are run by and for people with experience of low mood, anxiety and depression. They provide a safe and supportive space where people can meet with others and share positive coping strategies.

As part of the appeal, group members are actively fundraising – you can make a donation by visiting their pages on the DAS JustGiving fundraising webpages by clicking here.

Group meetings are organised locally and open to all. If you are interested in joining one of the groups and would like to find out about meeting times and locations, click here.

DAS are also looking for people who have experience of depression or work with people who have depression. They are looking for volunteers from these two groups to take part in group discussions for a potential new name.

The groups will be held at their offices at 11 Alva Street, Edinburgh on the following dates:- Tuesday 27 July at 6.15pm (Those who work with people with depression) and Wednesday 28 July at 6.15pm (Those who have lived experience of depression)
