In Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland: Policy and Action Plan 2009-11 the Scottish Government made a commitment to improve the knowledge and understanding of self-harm and formulate an appropriate response.

The National Self-Harm Working Group has now agreed a discussion paper that is being opened up for public consultation and response. More information about the consultation, and how written responses can be submitted by the 31 December 2010 deadline, can be found on the Scottish Government website by clicking here.
