'Staying Connected' is an upcoming West Network (for Mental Health and Race Equality) Event to be held on Friday, 29th May 2009 from 10am - 3pm at The Almada Suites - Hamilton West. This event will showcase some of the work around mental health and race equality in the West of Scotland which NHS Health Scotland and other partners have been involved in over the past year.

The aims of this event are:
  • To showcase recent work which has been done by NHS Health Scotland's Mental Health & Race Equality Programme team in partnership with other organisations in order to change attitudes of communities towards mental health.
  • To promote understanding about diversity, its impact on practice and how to improve practice.
  • To provide an opportunity for networking and sharing information with other network members.
The event is being organised by the Mental Health & Race Equality Programme team and will include presentations from various organisations who have worked with them.
