On December 1st, we hosted our first of three Making Recovey Real roadshow events. 51 people from across the north of Scotland joined the SRN team in Thurso for a day that focused on raising awareness about recovery as well as encouraging local action around recovery.

The event featured lots of conversation and participation from the people who attended and there was a definite feeling of enthusiasm and excitement throughout the day. Comments from participants include: thurso_01rs

"Group sessions were very informative. Interacting with people and exchanging ideas."

"A very positive experience!"

"Thoroughly enjoyable and informative day."

SRN see this successful event as a key step in supporting local activity in the Caithness and Sutherland area and by the end of it many of the participants expressed an interest in taking the work forward locally. SRN plan to return to the north Highland region in the new year to support future developments.

We are also hosting more two more roadshow events and will be in Oban on 24 Februray 2010 and in Stranraer on 24 March 2010. To book a place for the Oban event click here.
