Recovery in Addictions - Building Momentum in Scotland, 26th March 2008

Services have been working to promote recovery for people with drug and alcohol problems for many years. Now, The Scottish Government wants to support the momentum that is building towards establishing a recovery 'movement' for addictions in Scotland, similar to that in the field of mental health. This one day conference is designed to:

  • Move toward a shared understanding of how to promote, support and interpret recovery in addictions.
  • Provide an opportunity for discussion and debate about what recovery means for people with drug and alcohol problems in Scotland.
  • Discuss the implications of building a Scottish Addictions Recovery Network or Movement for people with experience of drug and alcohol problems in Scotland, including input from people with personal experience of drug problems.
