Through the ‘Mosaics of Meaning’ research in Glasgow (Glasgow Anti Stigma Partnership 2007) it was found that the stigma associated with mental health problems among black and minority ethnic (BME) communities have a major impact on people’s wellbeing. As part of ‘Mosaics of Meaning’ a story telling project was set up and has since produced a booklet entitled Are you really listening? (PDF) which contains stories about stigma, discrimination and resilience towards mental health problems among black and minority ethnic communities in Scotland.
