During this year's Suicide Prevention Week (7-13 September 2009) Choose Life is continuing with its nationwide campaign to raise awareness and understanding of suicide and how it can be prevented.

On average, two people in Scotland take their own lives every day. The campaign's message is clear: it’s okay to talk about feeling suicidal. The message is followed up by practical advice: talk to someone you trust, or phone a helpline. Campaign consists of printed materials, radio advertising, media work, and online activity.

If you are interested in learning more about this campaign or how to access campaign materials contact Choose Life on 0141 354 2908 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Choose Life is Scotland’s national strategy and action plan to tackle suicide. One of its key aims is to raise public awareness of how suicide can be prevented.
