The 5th Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival is seeking film submissions for its 2011 programme.
The Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival are also encouraging arts organisations, venues, film makers, artists and community groups to contact them to share and discuss ideas for other events. The festival will take place in theatres, cinemas, libraries and community halls throughout Scotland during October 2011 to help challenge attitudes towards mental health through the arts.
On of the purposes is to discover and celebrate the work of filmmakers who explore mental health in film. This is done through the annual open film submission, which gives filmmakers the opportunity to share their work and ideas with audiences across Scotland and internationally.
Previous winning submissions have looked at topics such as moving home, ageing, grief, loss, endurance, support, friendship, equality, sport, music, childhood as well as films about specific diagnoses or conditions.
The closing date for entries is Friday 6th May 2011 and entry is free. Please email
