'see me' recently announced that they are offering grants (of up to £5,000) available to groups who want to tackle stigma and discrimination on a local level. The first round of grants are available to groups operating within the following NHS areas:
The grant scheme aims to encourage local organisations to take a lead in changing public attitudes and behaviours towards people with mental health problems. Any type of project can be considered as long as it is led by people with experience of mental ill-health or those providing care and support. There is also a second pool of funding, open to applicants in all four areas. The Equality Award of £5,000, will be awarded to a successful organisation celebrating diversity whilst tackling mental health and stigma inequalities.
