Free comedy workshops for people with long-term conditions

Universal Comedy are providing free comedy workshops and courses for people with long-term conditions across Scotland.


needalaugh-eflyerUniversal Comedy, a Glasgow based charity and social enterprise set up in 2004 by people with ill health, has been successful in securing funding to enable people in Greater Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Lothians, as well as across Scotland, attend free comedy workshops and training courses aimed at improving confidence, self-esteem and reducing social isolation.

The workshops and courses are tutored by professional stand up comedians and comedy writers working on the Scottish comedy circuit and include BAFTA and Scottish Variety Award Winner Susan Calman and comedian/actor Raymond Mearns as well as many others.
