A Scottish Government conference will assess the impact of Rights, Relationships and Recovery: The Report of the National Review of Mental Health Nursing five years after its publication.

rrrs_flyer_small This report was the first Chief Nursing Officer's review of mental health nursing in Scotland.

Its recommendations aimed to enhance and develop mental health nursing in Scotland and produce continual improvements in the experiences and outcomes of care of service users, their families and carers.

Five years on, conference keynote speaker - Ros Moore, Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland - will ask how the RRRs has changed mental health nursing in Scotland since 2006, what difference it has made at a local level, whether it has improved the experience of people using mental health services, and what next - how to build on the achievements of mental health nursing and the RRRs.
The free conference is aimed at mental health nurses and all those interested in the work of mental health nurses.

Delegates registered for the event can also enter a competition to display a poster at the conference. The organisers aim is that the posters will demonstrate the contribution that the National Review of Mental Health Nursing has made to developing mental health nursing and the impact on people’s experiences of mental health care.

There are two prizes for the best posters at the conference which can be entered by downloading the entry form here.

A copy of the conference flyer can be downloaded here and a copy of the booking form can also be downloaded here.
