The theme of this year's Choose Life National Forum is “Working together to prevent suicide and reduce self-harm in Scotland”.
The aim of the event is to bring people together to discuss key developments in this area. It is taking place at the John McIntyre Centre in Edinburgh, and will be led by the Minister for Public Health and Sport, Shona Robison. Discussions will focus on the latest policy developments in suicide prevention and self-harm reduction in Scotland. Delegates will have the opportunity to share with the Minister and others information about suicide prevention activities in different local areas. The National Forum is predominantly aimed at those involved directly with Choose Life, individuals with responsibility for suicide prevention from the NHS and members of Community Planning Partnerships. However the organisers would also encourage representatives from national bodies and third sector organisations who are involved with suicide prevention in Scotland to attend.
