Resources are available from local projects aiming to tackle mental health stigma in BME communities in Scotland. As mentioned in a previous article the 'Are we really listening?' project funded by NHS Health Scotland supported new initiatives to reduce mental health stigma in black and minority ethnic communities.Following this they have also published 'Are you really listening?' which includes stories about stigma, discrimination and resilience towards mental health problems among BME communities in Scotland. 'Are you really listening?' has been translated into Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Chinese languages. Its evaluation will also be published soon. Resources from the initiative are also now available. They are all free and aim to encourage discussion about mental health stigma, whether among staff or in BME communities.
