How we work

The following list describes what you can expect from SRN when working jointly with us and what, in return, we expect from the people we work with:
  • To operate in an open, honest and constructive manner.
  • To be listened to and treated with dignity and respect.
  • To not disparage or unnecessarily criticise people or organisations.
  • To not use language or actions that could be considered to be threatening, offensive or discriminatory.
  • To respect individuality and to be aware of diverse needs.

In relation to any joint work with SRN, it should be noted that:

  • Joint working does not necessarily constitute current or future endorsement or approval and should not be described as such without consent.
  • Joint working with SRN does not guarantee future joint working.

In relation to information we share through our network, it should be noted that:

  • We decide what to share on a case by case basis and are in no way obliged to share information provided.
  • In sharing information about events and resources we do not necessarily endorse or recommend them and we are in no way responsible for content or quality.
We use the following main criteria to decide whether or not to share information via our network (website, emails and postal updates):
  • Quality: That we feel assured that the information describes a good quality resource*.
  • Relevance: That the information relates to a resource which is relevant to the aims of SRN.
  • Process: That we feel confident that any process to develop a resource has been well thought out and ethical.
  • Profit: We will not share information about resources which are sold for profit.
*By resource we refer to any information, product, event or opportunity.

Other specific points related to different types of partnership working are available on request or, where appropriate, described in written agreements. Additional detail related to information on this website can be found in our Terms and conditions and Privacy policy.
